Originaire d'Atlanta, Cassandra Young a vécu une drôle d'expérience. En effet, si celle-ci est sur le point de se marier, elle a reçu un drôle de message sur instagram. Envoyé de la part d'un coach sportif perso, celui-ci lui proposait en fait ses services pour une petite remise en forme avant le jour J. Refusant poliment l'invitation, Cassandra a finalement craqué face à l' insistance du coach : « Vous pouvez accepter votre apparence, mais pas en être heureuse. On ne peut pas se mentir à soi-même », lui avait-il notamment écrit. 

Face à ce message, la jeune femme a alors décidé de sortir la sulfateuse. Toujours sur instagram, celle-ci a posté un cliché d'elle accompagné de la légende suivante : « Votre valeur vient de VOUS, pas de votre physique. On se fiche de savoir que vous avez deux ou trois kilos en trop, ou même cinq, ou dix, ou quinze ? Ce qui compte, c’est que vous soyez heureux et en bonne santé. Ce chiffre sur la balance NE DÉFINIT NI VOTRE IDENTITÉ NI VOTRE VALEUR. Ne laissez personne vous dire le contraire. Ils essayeront pourtant parce qu’ils n’ont pas encore compris »

Voilà qui devrait calmer ce coach un peu lourd.

Or the heartbreaking stories of how you or your daughters or sisters were on the precipice, and all they needed to realize was that fat is literally just an adjective, and not a judgment on who they are as a person, and now they’re getting married. . Thank you guys. You drowned out the trolls. You checked on me to make sure I was ok. You slammed the haters and showed me the light again. Texts, Tweets, Emails, DMs, Facebook Messages. There’s not even a comparison to the level of love I have seen on the internet from @TheBertShow community - my radio family - and from absolute strangers. .
